I'm thinking about autumn weddings today.
It's a gorgeous time of year and Nature offers plenty of inspiration.
Consider featuring berries in your bridal bouquet. Autumn wedding flowers could be deep rich roses, quirky burnt-orange dahlias, copper-coloured chrysanthemums. Maybe sheaves of corn in your decorations? Rosy apples as table centrepieces?
Use vibrant oranges, browns and golds in your colour scheme. You could really set the mood for the time of year with autumn-themed bridesmaid dresses in ochre, bronze and blackberry shades. Maybe with contrasting sashes? Dessy bridesmaid and flower girl dresses come in a variety of autumnal hues.Your flower girls could carry baskets of autumn-themed confetti, to scatter along the aisle. (You could also use petals to dress your tables at the wedding reception.)
Talk to your caterer about autumn-inspired food at your reception. Blackberries and apples are a time-honoured combination. (Because they are SO delicious together.)
Another way of planning your autumn wedding theme is to use the Dessy styleboard tool, which lets you create a wedding moodboard to put all your ideas together. Here's a sample.
Have fun planning your autumn wedding. We'd love to see your styleboard!
