A real wedding today and this one is an explosion of colour - an Indian Jewish fusion wedding that took place in sunny Portola Valley in California.

The radiant couple are Emily and Adam and the photography is by Volatile Photography (via Project Wedding).
Something Old ... Something Borrowed
Emily's beautiful floral sari was actually her mother's, who wore it to her own wedding over 30 years ago. The patterns and colours are so pretty and vibrant and Emily has picked matching shades in her flowers and bridesmaids dresses to perfection.

I also love Emily's intricate necklace, with gems that flash brilliantly and subtly pick up the colour theme. She's worked through all her ideas for this fusion wedding so artistically - and chose the flowers from a local flower market (a saving tip!)
The seating is very simple - vibrant cushions continue the mood - a very simple way to decorate your wedding venue but completely effective .Combining Jewish and Indian traditions, at this fusion wedding the couple were married under a Chuppah, beautifully decorated with long strings of flowers, which formed a sort of curtain.

Emily used her mother's sari as the inspiration for her wedding colours and I think she has done it absolutely beautifully. If she has a daughter, I'm wondering whether she will also wear her mother's and her grandmother's sari to her wedding. Emily couldn't have looked more beautiful - traditional yet contemporary at the same time.
If you like the idea of fusing an Asian theme into your wedding, you should look at the stationery from Ananya Cards - which comes in vibrant pinks, purples, turquoises - exotic and elegant all at once.

Dessy also has bridesmaids dresses in colourful hues - hot pinks, acid greens, and dazzling purples - and coloured ballet flats to match.
