Every year the authority in color that is Pantone announces their Color of the Year. They have just announced the Color of the Year for 2014 and it's.... (drumroll)... Radiant Orchid!! Sounds like a pretty flower, right? We'll the color is just a pretty as it sounds. It's a soft shade of saturated purple. Think of a radiant pastel purple and you're there.
In the past Pantone colors have included Tangerine Tango, Emerald Green, Honeysuckle (a pink) and Turquoise. Lots of very vivacious choices, so we're happy to to see something I bit more subtle. We love the idea of Radiant Orchid for a wedding day color theme. It's the perfect pairing for neutrals like navy, cream, beige and gold.
