5 Ways to Have Your Own Italian Wedding Like Kim and Kanye

5 Ways to Have Your Own Italian Wedding Like Kim and Kanye

With rumors buzzing that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are getting married in Italy this weekend we couldn't help but celebrate along with the happy couple! We thought we would offer some ideas on how you can have your own Italian themed wedding!

The Venue and Decor: You can have your wedding at a wine vineyard or nearby farm. If an outdoor wedding isn't what you want, a regular banquet hall or an Italian restaurant that is fit to hold a wedding would do just fine! Have long tables with roses, peonies, and white lilies. Have lace table runners and candles with garland along the table. If you are doing an outdoor wedding, string lights above each table to give it that old Italian rustic feel.

Bridesmaid Attire: Have your girls in a chiffon bridesmaid dress from Lela Rose, like the Lela Rose Style LR200. We also love the Twist Wrap Bridesmaid Dress available on Dessy.com.

Music: No Italian wedding would be complete without some good old-fashioned Italian music! Have your guests grab their cloth table napkins and start swinging it in the air, because they are doing the Tarantella! Have your first dance as husband and wife be to the Italian favorite, Ti Amo or have Dean Martin in constant rotation with the song That's Amore.

Mangia! An Italian Menu: Have your caterer or restaurant chefs create delicious Italian menu! Your cocktail hour should have assorted cured meats like prosciutto and dried sausage, fruits, vegetables, Italian breads, various Italian cheeses. Keep the Italian wine flowing! You can also do tiny bruschetta topped with fresh tomatoes and cheese. Your first course can start with the traditional Italian wedding soup also known as the stracciatella (egg drop) soup in some regions of Italy or any traditional pasta dish will do. Popular main courses at an Italian wedding include any meat and fish dishes with fresh vegetables. For dessert: Assorted Italian pastries like cannolis, crepes filled with Nutella, gelato... this list can go on here. Oh! You can't forget the Espresso!

Wedding Favors:Have guests bring home bottles of lemoncello or Italian wine. Another popular idea is to have your guests bring home assorted boxes of pastries and cookies.
