Coloured Wedding Shoes

When Lena got married to Finn in Ireland last August, she made a conscious decision that she DIDN'T want her wedding shoes to be a feature of her outfit, so she chose a soft ivory satin that blended beautifully with her bespoke ivory silk gown.

However, many brides nowadays rather like the idea of a splash of colour peeping out from underneath their billowing skirts of tulle and lace. And particularly if you are lucky enough to wear one of Candy Anthony's heavenly, fifties-style creations (like the one above and two below), then why wouldn't you? You can see from these brides quite how much fun they are having on their wedding days and I've got to say, I think that coloured wedding shoes really do add that sense of giddy excitement to the whole proceedings!Colourful Wedding shoes

Though for a real 'Over the Rainbow' experience, you'd have to wear these amazing shoes By Paradox Pink from Elegant Steps...

For something a little less glitzy, you could be inspired by (below, clockwise from left) the delicate T-Bar Gardenia Powder Blue Wedding Shoes with silver detail by Rachel Simpson; sweet Satin peep toe bridal ballet pumps in Arctic from Dessy; incredible hand-painted shoes for a really special touch from Beautiful Moment (prices start at £190).
